Copy trading

Someone else's decisions, your account and your limits

Copy trading connects an approved trader’s activity to your portfolio dashboard account. Their trades are mirrored in proportion to your balance, inside the risk caps you set before anything opens and you can stop it at any second.

What it is

  • A way to follow a trader whose approach you have read and understood.
  • A connection to your own account, using trade permissions only.
  • A set of hard limits that you configure and can change at any time.
  • A full audit trail: every mirrored order is logged on your side.

What it is not

  • A managed fund. Nobody takes custody of your capital.
  • A guarantee. An Expert Trader can lose money, and some will.
  • A forecast. A track record describes the past, nothing more.
  • A reason to stop paying attention to your own account.
Mechanics

How the copier actually works

No black box. Here is the path an order takes from the Expert's terminal to yours.

Proportional allocation

An Expert Trader trading 1% of their equity opens 1% of yours. Balances differ, exposure does not. Fixed-lot and fixed-ratio modes are also available.

Sub-second relay

Orders are relayed from the Expert's terminal to yours in well under a second. Your fill still depends on your own broker and market conditions at that moment.

Full lifecycle sync

Entries, partial closes, stop and target modifications and exits are all mirrored. A position is never left orphaned on your side.

Limits applied first

Every incoming order is checked against your caps before it reaches your broker. An order that would breach a limit is skipped and logged, not shrunk silently.

Your controls

Copying is not surrendering control

Set the boundaries before a single order is mirrored, and change them whenever you like.

Position sizing

Proportional to equity, a fixed ratio, or a fixed lot per trade.

Daily loss cap

Copying halts for the session once your stated daily loss is reached.

Exposure ceiling

Cap the total lots or margin a single Expert Trader may commit at once.

Instrument filter

Exclude symbols you do not want traded on your account.

Pause and resume

Stand aside through a news event without ending the connection.

Immediate stop

End copying at once, and choose whether open positions close or run.

How a strategy gets listed

Verified history only

An Expert Trader is listed only once we can read their trade history directly from the platform. Screenshots and spreadsheets are not evidence.

Nothing is trimmed

The record shown covers the whole period, including losing months and the deepest drawdown. Experts cannot hide a bad quarter.

Behaviour is monitored

Sudden changes in position size, martingale recovery or holding a losing trade against the stated plan are flagged and can delist an Expert.

Strategy is stated

Each Expert Trader declares the instruments, timeframe and approach they trade, so a change of style is visible rather than hidden in the numbers.

Before you copy anyone

Six questions worth answering first.

  • 1 How long is the record, and does it cover more than one market regime?
  • 2 What is the deepest peak-to-trough drawdown, and could you hold through it?
  • 3 How large is the average position relative to the account behind it?
  • 4 Does the equity curve grow steadily, or on a few outsized trades?
  • 5 Is there evidence of averaging down or martingale recovery?
  • 6 What happens to your account if the Expert Trader stops trading tomorrow?
Understand the risk: copy trading mirrors another trader's decisions, losses included. A strong past record does not predict future returns, and a strategy can give back more than it has previously made. Allocate only capital you can afford to lose, and read the full risk disclosure before you connect an account. Available Expert Traders, their published records and any applicable charges are shown in your dashboard once you are signed in.
